Garden Compost Screener (Handmade)

March 24, 2012 6 comments

My handmade compost screener takes all the small stones and the parts of the compost that has not yet broken down and separates them into good soil for the garden.
I used 2 truck springs on this from my old dodge,  and a motor from a old wood band saw.
It’s hard to believe that this was all wood chips, manure, and garden waste.

This compost machine makes excellent material for the garden or the lawn.

I have also use the fine screened soil/compost to make compost tea for my lawn and the flower gardens.

The plants love feeding from this natural organic mater.

Wood water wheel in Eden Mills, Ontario

This wood water wheel is not too far from where I live (Rockwood)
I drive by it from time to time, so I thought it would make a good picture.
It was take with my Nikon D90 with a 18-105 lens.
